Humanoid robots and digital agents are becoming a second type of workforce alongside humans: the Second Workforce. For engineers, this raises questions about design, safety and the role of their own profession.

During this evening’s event, Rob van de Star and Richard Kuijpers will provide a down-to-earth overview of the current state of affairs. Rob will begin by outlining the background and trends driving this development. They will then discuss what humanoid robots are already capable of from a technical perspective and where they still fall short. The integration with existing systems, safety requirements and applicable regulations will also be covered.

A live demonstration with a robot will showcase what is currently possible. The talk will conclude with a practical roadmap for the first steps.
This will be followed by a networking drinks reception. Both before and after the talk, there will be an opportunity to have your photo taken with the robot.
