What is Lateral Thinking
- A term coined by Edward de Bono. In 1967, the word was officially included in the Oxford English Dictionary and had as its explanation there: "seeking to solve problems by unorthodox or apparently illogical methods"

What are its general characteristics?
- it is about looking for ways to solve problems and issues by an illogical path
- lateral thinking is aimed at breaking automatisms that we have developed in our thinking
- core idea behind lateral thinking is to develop seemingly illogical sidesteps, from which you start and can come up with valuable and useful ideas in solving problems

See also location links above. Arrival route Musis garage from A12: continue Apeldoornseweg until train viaduct and turn left before the train viaduct into Sonsbeeksingel. Take the first right into Hommelsestraat, pass under the train viaduct and turn right at the traffic lights into van Muijlwijkstraat. At the next traffic lights, turn right again and get in the left-hand lane in front of the entrance to the Musis garage. (Signs Musis garage above the left lane). Follow that lane and then take a U-turn into the approach tunnel of the Musis garage
