Description

The latest Dow Jones Sustainability Index for Chemical Companies (dd 4 September 2008) shows AkzoNobel occupying a leading position on this influential index with a score of 86 per cent, barely 1 per cent below new sector leader BASF. AkzoNobel has not been absent from this index once in the past four years, leading the list in 2007.
AkzoNobel's new headquarters to be built on the Zuidas in Amsterdam from mid-2010 will be designed to be sustainable and energy-efficient with common sense. The concept of Cradle to Cradle will also be given full attention in the design process.
In addition to AkzoNobel as tenant and client, the vision of the Project Developer also has a major influence on the entire design and construction process.
This presentation will give a good insight into how the concept of Sustainability has acquired its permanent place in the aforementioned design process
