Description

We start with coffee and cake at the Veerhuis on the Maasdijk. Then we walk to the Glass and Enamel Museum.

Enamel is molten glass powder on metal. That metal can be silver or gold for jewellery, but also copper or steel for panels with images.

Ancient Egyptians used enamel as a substitute for gemstones in their jewellery.
The museum mainly shows contemporary forms of enamel.
During a guided tour, we get explanations of the exhibited art that bring it to life.
Video films or demonstrations show the age-old crafts of stained glass and enamelling.

The seasonal opening is intended for regional members and partners. Children are also welcome
