More than 80 participants listened to Roy Janssen's presentation
We will not soon forget the networking cafe of 7 November 2022. We have never had more than 80 participants. While registering, we could already see that we would not easily fit into the Front Room of the Groote Sociëteit. When we went to report this to the Society, it turned out that they themselves had also planned a big activity, a few days later, than our networking cafe. The issue was that we did not have enough chairs and the Society's chairs were proper gentlemen's chairs. The solution was to hire 90 smaller chairs.
Of course, this was due to the topic of Heat Pumps. Our speaker Roy Janssen from ATAG told a very complete story on the subject. Very interesting was Minister Rob Jetten's Action Plan: from 2024, 100,000 heat pumps per year must be installed and from 2026 an increase to 1,500 heat pumps per working day. This is a nice plan but not feasible because there are too few professionals and producing such numbers of heat pumps is not possible.
However, a hybrid heat pump is a good way to reduce your gas consumption. He mentioned as an example from 1400 m3 to about 400 m3 per year. Many people think of payback periods. With a hybrid heat pump, this is considerably shorter than with an all eletric heat pump.
The interest in this topic was also because a large number of the attendees were planning to buy a hybrid heat pump.
We were sorry that we could not allow all interested parties to participate, so we have devised a second session, namely on 15 February 2023. You can register for this via the KIVI website.
