New Year meeting + visit Paushuize
Description
Paushuize is one of the oldest monuments and, at the time, the largest residential house in the city of Utrecht.
It was built in 1517, commissioned by Adriaan Boeyens, born in Urecht and at the time bishop of Tortosa Spain, the later only Dutch Pope Adrian VI.
Several magnificent period rooms and beautifully decorated salons make the building one of the most beautiful locations in the Netherlands.
The Province of Utrecht is the proud owner and has magnificently renovated Paushuize in the period from 2008 to 2011 with a strong focus on sustainability.
Paushuize serves as the representative seat of the Provincial Administration Utrecht.
A part of the complex is open once a month for a public tour.
Since the renovation, Huize Molenaar has been hosting receptions, meetings and is also used for weddings.
On 27 January 2018, 15:00, we as KIVI Region Utrecht will have a guided tour with René Tasseron here and afterwards until about 17:30 in one of the salons the New Year's reception.
