north/south line
Description
In recent months, the north/south line in Amsterdam has been very much in the public eye. The IngenieursBureau Amsterdam will show us around the works and will be able to answer your questions about progress and problems.
In 2016, the newest metro link between Amsterdam North and Amsterdam South is expected to be put into service: the North/South line. The North/South line will quickly and reliably connect the residential and shopping centres in the city centre and de Pijp with the growth centres on the north and south edges of the city and the region. The line will be nine kilometres long in total. In building the North/South line in Amsterdam's urban environment, the right balance between money, quality and minimum disruption is being sought. IBA is working on the project along its entire length, but the most visible parts are the above-ground sections. In doing so, IBA designs and advises as the contractor for the North/South Line Project Office. IBA also performs management in the realisation and provides contract managers of various contracts
