Description

This Dutch startup Sustainer Homes transforms shipping containers into self-sufficient homes, with solar panels and wind turbines. This way, you can still live comfortably in remote locations. How this autarkic way of living works, we will be able to see this evening.

The Sustainer Home is built on 3 principles. It should be self-contained, sustainable and comfortable. Within the dimensions of a container, every nook and cranny has been used and furnished efficiently. The installation in the Sustainer Home is thus a feast for the technical eye.

Sustainer Homes emerged from a course of Startup Bootcamp and recently Eneco announced its support of this startup by buying this prototype. Through the collaboration, a lot will be learned back and forth; there is always room for more efficiency.
