Company visit VDL Kusters
Description
We are invited this afternoon by VDL Kusters in Venlo.
VDL Kusters is a specialist in converting and fitting out vehicles for the transport of (8 - 30) people. This involves the production of mini & midi buses for touring and public transport, police vehicles, taxi buses, airport transport and special transport such as buses for the disabled and VIP buses in all possible versions. It also repairs car damage to passenger and commercial vehicles.
VDL Kusters was founded in July 1921 as a coach factory on Zuidsingel in Venlo. Later, these became wooden bodies for buses used to transport miners. After the mines closed, this company had to adapt to the market. This eventually led to specialisation in two different disciplines. Namely, bodywork construction and damage repair.
At 14.00 hours, Mr Huub M.G. Verdonck, managing director of VDL Kusters, will give a presentation on the activities of the VDL group and VDL Kusters in particular.
After the presentation, which lasts approximately one hour, we will visit the company. Here we will visit the bodywork workshop and the car repair department in turn.
TIP: 22 May is Corpus Christi this year (a Sunday in Germany). So it will probably be busy in the centre of Venlo again. We therefore advise you to drive via the A67 to "de Veegtes".
