Description

As a networking activity this year, just before most people go on holiday, we will take a pleasant cruise on the Maasplassen with motor passenger ship "the Cascade". We will be pampered with food and drink on an all-inclusive basis.

Global layout of the evening

6.15 p.m. Embarkation on board the 'Cascade' from the jetty at the Havenboulevard in Maasbracht for an all-inclusive evening cruise.

6.30 p.m. Cast off/departure from Maasbracht.
On arrival, the crew will offer a welcome drink from the tray. The captain will also explain the sailing programme on departure.

Sailing route: Departure from Maasbracht, cruise past the Koningssteen nature reserve, then down the Maas towards Linne lock (4-metre drop), cruise past Zuidplas along Resort Marina Oolderhuuske, Hatenboer island route with a view of the Roermond skyline and back to Maasbracht.

19.00 hrs Presentation of cruise buffet.
- Meal salads:
Tortellini with tuna, potato salad with chives, penne rigate with tomato salsa, rice salad, hussar salad with beef

- Cold specialities:
Grilled pork loin, marinated chicken breast with salsa, rosé grilled roast beef with arugula, turkey roast with green pesto, Italian Parma ham with melon, tomato salad with cheese, ham asparagus roll, stuffed peaches and eggs

- Salads and garnishes:
Various raw vegetable salads, fruit cocktail, baguette, ciabatta with butter, herb butter and tapenade

- Hot dishes:
Pork fricandeau with mushroom cream sauce, grilled chicken breast with stir-fried vegetables

- All-inclusive
During the boat trip, the crew serves drinks throughout the ship on an 'all-inclusive' basis. The range consists of coffee/ tea, soft drinks, water, fruit juice, Brand pilsener, dark/ non-alcoholic beer, house wine red/ white/ rosé, domestic spirits and porto-sherry martini.

21.30 hrs Return to Maasbracht harbour where it is possible to have a chat in one of the small cafés on the harbour
