Gliding Venlo
Description
You see them flying, of course......,' the gliders of some gliding club or other. Maybe you've watched them for a while, those big white silent birds, which on a sunny day in upwind areas try to spin around to fly as long as possible. Possibly you have sometimes wondered: what kind of lazy people are they? Is that fun? Can I fly along and experience it myself: flying like a bird?
KIVI Niria Region North and Central Limburg makes it possible. We will be guests at the Venlo Gliding Club for much of the day. Besides a group technical explanation of (gliding) flying, there will be the opportunity to go up in the air with an experienced pilot/instructor and feel free for a while (about 15 minutes).
The passage of that day is of course highly dependent on the weather. In addition - unfortunately - participation in this great experience is strongly limited, and a contribution of your own will be requested. Depending on interest, a communal dinner with members of the gliding club can be used to discuss the day.

- Gather at hangar VZC no later than 12.15 (see route description)
- 12.30 together to field and starting point
- Prepare for first flights, in between explaining gliding and aircraft
- Approx. 16.00/16.30 hrs end of flying
- Meeting/talking about flying experiences (usual after-briefing at the flying site)
- Eating (Chinese/Indian) at club café De Strietser near hangar
- Winding up/farewell, approx. 19.00 hrs.
