Preview new Laurentius Hospital building
Description
Just before the technical delivery of the new building, we get the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the new construction of the Laurentius Hospital.
The Laurentius Hospital is building and renovating the hospital in Roermond in order to continue offering high-quality care to its patients in the future. The (re)construction also contributes to a pleasant working environment for specialists and staff. The new hospital distinguishes itself as a compact hospital. A hospital where patients can easily find their way and where staff can do their work as well as possible. The work includes a new hotfloor, emergency plaza, state-of-the-art operating theatres. A new care hotel will also be realised.
Construction plans were presented in 2012 and work started from the beginning of 2014. In October 2015, construction work will be ready for the contractor to deliver the structural works. The medical fitting out still has to take place then.
Mr Sven Lamerichs, Manager of Management & Technology, Logistics and Security, will show us around the rooms where you can normally only enter as an employee or patient. He will especially show how patients will be helped in the future in this fully modernised hospital.
