Since December 2005, Afvalzorg has had its own headquarters at its Nauerna location. De Vouw is a striking building with unusual architecture. With it, Afvalzorg wants to show that a waste disposal site is perfectly suited and absolutely safe to build, work and even live on. The 100-metre-wide building owes its name to its shape: it looks as if the landfill is folded open by the building. Through the grass on the roof, the polder landscape continues as it were. Afvalzorg has won several awards with this building. Such as the Parteon Architectuurprijs Zaanstreek and the Arie Kepplerprijs 2007.
After an introduction by Drs C.S.J. Lourens about Afvalzorg, a tour of the head office was made. This meeting was attended by 25 participants
