JSF programme ( F-35 Lightning II )
The presentation was given by Col.Ir.Robert Geerdes and covered the F-16 Replacement Project and the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) programme. The lecture began with a bit of history. Among other things, it explained why it is necessary to replace the F-16. It also focused on the political process. It also looked at the various candidates that have passed the review and the results of the candidate comparison completed in 2008. Finally, the JSF programme and the capabilities of the F-35 were discussed in more detail. It is a big difference whether you hear someone from the kitchen of the project speaking, than what you hear about it in the publicity. There were 30 listeners.
