A visit to the Kadastermuseum Museum in Arnhem
An exclusive guided tour for UT alumni
How did the Dutch Land Registry come into being, and how does it map our country today? On Tuesday 3 November, we’ll take you behind the scenes at the Kadastermuseum in Arnhem. It’s a special visit, exclusively for UT alumni.
The visit was the brainchild of Han Wijlens ( Applied Mathematics alumnus, 1978–1985), who works at the Land Registry. He will welcome us and, together with two former Kadaster staff members, show us how, since its foundation in 1832, Kadaster has grown into an organisation that has become an indispensable part of our society. You’ll be given an introduction to its history and two guided tours: one focusing on the public registers and the administrative side of the BRK, and one on the geometric side of the BRK and land surveying.
Register here.
Practical information
Places are limited to a maximum of 24. You can register until Wednesday 28 October 2026; places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The visit will go ahead provided there are at least 10 participants.
