ALV with Fraunhofer lecture in Twente
Description
The well-known German Fraunhofer Institute, the University of Twente and Saxion Hogescholen recently set up the Fraunhofer Project Centre as partners at UT. This is Fraunhofer's first branch in the Netherlands. The Fraunhofer Project Center will mainly focus on innovations concerning design and production of complex high-tech systems.
After a short ALV, Prof Fred van Houten will explain the reason for the Fraunhofer Project Center, why Fraunhofer, UT and Saxion are participating as partners, how it will cooperate with companies in the region and how the economy in the eastern Netherlands will benefit.
The Fraunhofer Project Center will contribute to strengthening Twente's position as a top technological region and as a knowledge hub between Germany and the Netherlands in the field of Smart Industry and the development of high-tech systems. This offers opportunities for companies that want to respond adequately to various complex societal and technological changes
