Description

The GIV board invites you and your partner to attend two lectures on the application of drones on Thursday evening 19 October 2017. The lecturers are:

Egbert Swiers with a Presentation on drones and
Willem Hazenberg with Deployment of drones at Stork

The lectures will be held at Groningen Airport Eelde (GAE)
at Omni Drones-Academy.

For Explanation
The main lecture will be given by Egbert Swierts, Managing director Omni Drones and partner of DroneHub GAE, entrepreneur and booster.
DroneHub GAE is the knowledge, innovation and development centre for drones with civilian applications. In the DroneHub GAE, companies, knowledge institutions and governments work together to develop, facilitate drone business and research innovative solutions in the field of drones. The aim is to remove obstacles to drone applications, creating jobs.
Omni-Drones is located at Eelde airport which has been designated as a National Test Centre for drones for the purpose of Integration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drone, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)) with commercial aircraft within CTR Eelde. The airport houses the office and Drone hangar.
Omni-Drones is working on various drone concepts for the benefit of agriculture but will also start a test in October to autonomously operate unmanned drone flights for the benefit of UMCG medicine transport to Schiermonnikoog.
The test flights will take place from Lauwersoog to the Heliport in Schiermonnikoog.
It will be investigated to equip drones with a number of hydrogen tanks to stay in the air longer.

The complementary lecture will be given by Willem Hazenberg (Stork Project Manager, Business Development Hydrogen) and member Global Stork team Drones, who will tell how Stork in the Netherlands and worldwide deploy drones in the technical environment and what opportunities they see.
