Building with Groningen character
Description
Another knowledge session will be organised on 22 March, this time with the theme 'Building with Groningen character'.
Gas extraction and the vicissitudes of earthquakes have accelerated rebuilding/construction/demolition/rehabilitation.
How do damage and reinforcement affect the built environment?
Preserving and changing the spatial quality and identity of the built environment are gaining prominence within the earthquake dossier.
In this respect, increasing concern is being expressed about the preservation of Groningen's identity.
But building with Groningen character; what exactly is that, which styles are typical for this region and are beautiful or not?
And how is building with Groningen character viewed within the earthquake file?
Do construction companies understand it to mean a certain visible building style (such as brickwork with red bricks), or is it just a way of working (don't talk, but do, for example)?
And is damage repair and reinforcement work really different from other work?
EPI Knowledge Centre cordially invites you to this knowledge session.
Participation is free, parking is free.
The programme is as follows:
14.00-14.15 hrs: Walk-in
14.15-16.15 hrs: Substantive programme
Paul Meurs of bureau SteenhuisMeurs and Eefje van Duin of Libau and project leader of the Erfgoedloket will make a contribution.
There is still room for a contribution of about 30 minutes from a construction company. Would you like to give your vision on our stage and share it with the audience?
Please contact Nienke de Jong, coordinator Practice & Innovation at n.dejong@epi-kenniscentrum.org or 06-22364778.
16.15-17.00: Closing drinks + snacks
