SMST is an internationally oriented company that designs and builds customer-specific offshore systems. The lifting and transport systems are used in particular for the handling of heavy equipment on board drilling and pipeline vessels. SMST's offshore systems are constantly evolving to meet the specific needs of international customers. Recent developments include motion-compensated offshore walkways and fast boats for patrol, inspection and crew transport. Based in Drachten, SMST always rises to the technical challenge, giving its approx. 150 employees the room to grow along with the developments. Besides design and construction, SMST also takes care of the further trajectory of installation, commissioning and after-sales of offshore systems worldwide.
That this is successful is evidenced by the jam-packed order book and the large number of temporary workers employed by SMST. Also, SMST has a large number of vacancies for Engineers.
