Urenco Almelo excursion
Description
Urenco Netherlands produces ultracentrifuges, enriching uranium into fuel for nuclear power plants. In addition to these core activities, there are two other areas where Urenco has a name: in aviation and in the medical industry. For commercial aircraft, fast-rotating systems are developed, produced and maintained, and for medical and industrial purposes, elements in a particularly pure isotopic composition are manufactured. Drs Huub Rakhorst, managing director, will give the presentation. Afterwards, you can take a look at the enrichment plant and you will be offered another drink.
