Experience a SmartGrid!
Does energy play an important role in your work or studies, or are you a public administrator or an expert on smart energy services and products? Or are you just someone who wants to contribute to our energy needs by putting a solar panel on your roof. Then you need to experience SmartGrid once. The development of intelligent energy grids and smaller-scale demonstrations are in full swing. The information resulting from the demonstrations, such as the one from Hoogkerk, can recently be simulated.
DNV GL Energy, formerly KEMA, is one of the leading pioneers in this field and as part of its 150th anniversary, they have created a mobile simulation. For this, we use ten I-pads to represent ten (sustainable) households. Together, we go through the simulation and explain SmartGrids. With this simulation tool, you will find out what your neighbour experiences if you put a solar panel on your roof or if he/she has an electric car.
