Description

On Friday 4 September, we will again be the guest of BTC. This time the presentation will be given by drs. ing. John Düring of PatentAgent Enschede and is entitled 'From rights to pirates'.

PatentAgent has been active in the region since 1997 and focuses mainly on SMEs and independent entrepreneurs. Although many entrepreneurs and product developers know a thing or two about intellectual property, and this is sometimes pointed out during their studies, for most of them it is not an everyday matter. Let alone keeping track of the changes made over time!

During the presentation, the biggest changes in this area will be indicated with an emphasis on the three most important intellectual property rights, namely patents, trademarks and designs. Furthermore, some directives and regulations have also been introduced under the European Union framework such as the Enforcement Directive and Anti-Piracy Regulation which will also be briefly discussed. Applicable examples will liven things up while of course enough time will be set aside for questions.

After the presentation, during the drinks, Mr During and Mr Siasi of PatentAgent Enschede will be available to answer more discreet questions or give advice

The programme is as follows:

16.00:00 Reception with coffee and tea
16:15 Welcome by KIVI NIRIA Region East
16:20 Presentation 'From rights to pirates'
