Layer Manufacturing
Description
With layer manufacturing, three-dimensional objects can be made by unifying material and energy using CAD model information. Prototypes have been realised this way for some time. The relevant technologies have developed further, allowing for more new applications and material choices.
Layer manufacturing creates new opportunities and possibilities through greater design freedom and savings in time and costs during the product creation process. What is the strategic and operational significance of this? What advantages does it offer for complex and customised products? How can this technology be used for the realisation of products and how can it be incorporated into your design and production processes?
This meeting aims to inform companies and institutions in the region about the current and foreseeable possibilities of layer manufacturing techniques with the background of stimulating new initiatives with opportunities for the creative and manufacturing industry.
