Municipality of Dalfsen
Description
Due to the weather, this excursion has been postponed to 20 January 2011.
The excursion programme consists of three parts:
1. the (new) Town Hall
In 2001, the municipalities of Dalfsen and Nieuwleusen became one new municipality of Dalfsen through redivision. These two organisations were housed together in the Dalfsen town hall. The municipal council further decided to guarantee service to residents as much as possible. To this end, the service points in Nieuwleusen and Lemelerveld were opened.
It was clear from the outset that accommodation in the Dalfsen town hall would be temporary. The new organisation was struggling with a severe lack of space. Moreover, the workspaces no longer met today's requirements. A new town hall, geared to the organisation and representative of the population, was the best solution.
2. the Blue Arches Bridge
Another nice feature is the blue arches bridge over the Vecht in Dalfsen. This is unique in the Netherlands . at night, when it is dark, the bridge turns blue. At least the arches over the bridge. This is characteristic of Dalfsen and a crowd-puller.
3. Haven Dalfsen & the Waterfront
The harbour is located on the west side of the bridge with the blue arches, near the town hall. The harbour has berths from 2.7 to 5 metres wide. Berths can also be taken at the quay next to the bridge. Facilities include: Drinking water tap on jetty, Electricity connection on jetty, Trailer ramp,Toilets Shower, Adaptations wheelchair users, Large waste container.
There have been some problems with sizing in the harbour, as the space between the jetties turned out to be too small to berth ships. The municipal employee will talk at length about the Blue Arches Bridge and the Municipal Port. The marina is currently up for a facelift.
The Waterfront in Dalfsen. An area located between the centre of the village and the river Vecht. A special location, next to the new town hall, on the waterfront. This area is changing dramatically. In about five years, the Waterfront area will have a completely different look. The old town hall and the Eshuis factory will be replaced by 32 houses, 42 flats, restaurants and shops. Together with a totally redesigned public space, Waterfront will have the character of a lively village centre. Demolition of the Eshuis factory is expected to begin in early 2011. The plan will be completed in 2015.
Start at town hall 14:00.

-presentation Jachthaven Dalfsen.
At the end of each presentation, there will be an opportunity for informative questions on technical, environmental and spatial-visual aspects.
These three presentations by the municipality will be followed by a site visit to the Blauwe Bogen bridge and the marina .
After this, there will be an opportunity for discussion with the municipal representative on the plans for the facelift of the marina.
