Neopost-Technologies in Drachten
Description
The history of Neopost Technologies in Drachten goes back to 1924. The company started building and maintaining machines under the name HaDeWe. With the invention of the stencil machine, the company grew rapidly and started exporting to America as early as 1934. Over time, it started focusing on developing and manufacturing all kinds of mailroom equipment, including "paper folding machines", "mail openers" and "envelope stuffing machines", among others. The Neopost franking machines are developed and manufactured by Neopost France.
From 1968, HaDeWe has been involved in a number of acquisitions and finally became Neopost Technologies in 2000
Earlier, mail everywhere was opened and removed from the envelope by hand. Now people have the "mail opener" for this purpose. The simple mail openers only cut open the envelopes and thus one still has to take out the mail by hand. However, Neopost also has mail openers, which not only fully automatically open all mail but also remove it from the envelopes. The only thing the mailroom then has to do is sort the mail and distribute it (or have it distributed).
In addition to the mail openers, Neopost also develops and produces a full range of "envelope-filling machines". Envelope-filling machines are ap-parates, which - simply put - fully automatically stuff letters and or brochures into envelopes and also seal the envelopes. Large quantities of mail to be sent can thus be prepared for posting fully automatically. These devices can also handle all kinds of mail sizes.
