Research and safety lab AkzoNobel
Description
The new research centre in Deventer employs two hundred people, some of whom come from Arnhem. The research centre houses three Expertise groups (Measurement and analytical Science, Molecular Science and Process Technology) that support the whole of AkzoNobel worldwide in their areas of expertise in addition to specific research groups for AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals.
The Deventer site is also home to AkzoNobel Safety Services' safety lab. This lab has built up very extensive safety expertise since the 1960s. Its facilities with high-pressure boxes and the 'total containment tank' allow testing under extreme conditions.
