Tauw with presentation Riothermie
Description
Gasless heating and cooling
Gas-fired systems are still often used to heat buildings. With the Paris Agreement and the earthquake problems in Groningen, we are all convinced that we need to significantly reduce our gas consumption. And it can be done; Tauw shows through projects that it is possible. In Urk, an entire swimming pool is heated and in IJmuiden, even a school is heated and cooled, both without gas. This is done with riothermal energy, so it offers new opportunities.
What exactly is riothermal energy?
With riothermal energy, thermal energy is recovered from wastewater. This energy can be used to heat or cool buildings or installations located near the sewage system. A heat exchanger is brought into contact with the wastewater, where heat can be exchanged in two directions. A transport fluid flows through the heat exchanger, transporting the heat. Temperatures are then still relatively low (between approx. 9 and 23 ºC depending on the season). By means of a heat pump, the temperature is brought to a usable level and the direction of the exchange is determined.
Tauw takes KIVI into the world of riothermal energy. Besides a presentation with beautiful animations, there will also be an interactive part, using augmented reality to show the possibilities
