Description

The second 'Hanseatic Circle' meeting, organised by KIVI in collaboration with the Institute of Engineering at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, will take place on Tuesday 10 February.

The previous lecture focused on the theme of Energy. This time, a subject in the field of High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM) is on the agenda: Drs Martijn Meijer of Fokker Aerostructures Hoogeveen will give a lecture on the successful Smart Factory project at Fokker in Hoogeveen.

Using sensor and information technology, the cooperation partners of the Smart Factory project (Fokker, Langhout and Cazemier, S[&]T and Irmato) have developed a control system, which allows real-time, rather than pre-planning, adjustment of parts production. This makes it possible to detect and correct impending errors during the process. Martijn Meijer will talk about error reduction and the turnaround to integral control and multidisciplinary cooperation.
