Description

Hardenberg town hall: upon completion the most sustainable town hall in the Netherlands.

The construction of the new town hall in Hardenberg has been under discussion since 2003. Together with the municipality, ArchitectenCIE (Branimir Medic and Pero Puljiz) designed this town hall. Sustainability was an important aspect of this and has therefore been implemented extensively in the design. In 2008, the project was put on the market as a DMO (Design, Construct & Maintain) contract. VolkerWessels further developed the preliminary and final design. This company will also take care of the realisation and, later, the maintenance for 20 years. The town hall will be delivered in 2012 and we engineers obviously do not want to miss this.

During this meeting, we will be given a presentation and a tour of the building, where the special DMO contract form and the sustainability aspects will be discussed in detail by a VolkerWessels employee.
