After a warm welcome from Jeroen van Heck, we first (it was dry for a while) toured the company premises. We visited the production, test and warehouse areas. The yard also had a large stock of all kinds of pumps and configurations on display.

Van Heck mainly produces modular pumps for its own rental fleet. These pumps run on diesel, electricity or hydraulics. With around 25 people, they supply pumping capacity for projects and emergencies worldwide. They specialise in the higher capacity segment.

Using the Catepillar engines and the accompanying worldwide service, the units are easy to keep in operation by their own mechanics or by the staff of the (local) contractor.

After the tour, Mr van Heck showed us what they do through a number of projects.

After a few questions, the time was up far too quickly!

Thanks Jeroen!

Description

Van Heck is an internationally operating company (with offices in the Netherlands and Singapore) in the field of water management and relocation. In particular, the Van Heck organisation is frequently called in for temporary diversions, emergency solutions and calamities.
Since 1964
The idea, as simple as it is solid, was quickly born in 1964: sometimes there is no other way and pumping has to be done. And then we're talking about water. Diesel engines existed. Pumps also existed. But the sublime integration of the two was a different story, especially for special applications.
Through well-considered constructions and modifications, Van Heck developed pump combinations that delivered the required results in every field of application. More importantly, the pumps worked under the most difficult conditions. Hydraulic engineering - a sector in which dredging holds a special place both nationally and internationally - quickly discovered this. Engineer Roel van Heck was able to grow his one-man company into what it is today: an internationally recognised and innovative company in the field of water management. Since then, the second generation, engineer Jeroen van Heck, has taken over the helm.
Director Jeroen van Heck will take us through the company's world with a range of well-known and lesser-known projects. Afterwards, we will get a look behind the scenes of the company during the visit of the workshop.
