The annual meeting is always the appropriate opportunity to exchange views with members on the programme and activities best organised in the region. This time, we chose Geldrop Castle in Geldrop as the venue. This castle has a history from 1350 and shows the trajectory from past to present in the building and its beautiful garden and landscape park.

After the reception in the main salon, members could catch up over coffee and flan. The introductions could then enjoy a walk around the estate in parallel with the meeting, the entire group was given a guided tour of the castle after the meeting, accompanied by guides.

As per the agenda, the meeting considered the annual report and financial report of 2013. The treasurer and the board were discharged. The policy intentions for 2014 were discussed in relation to the budget for the current year where suggestions were made from the members about activities that could be organised. The South Region working group will take up these suggestions. A report of the meeting was prepared by the secretary.


After the meeting and tour of the castle, the participants had lunch together in the castle farm.

Description

The board of the Region South calls its members to the annual meeting. Like last year, it will take place in a place worth seeing. The castle offers every opportunity to meet your fellow members and the board in an informal way, especially for new members. At the meeting, you can express your wishes and help give direction to new initiatives. You will be extensively informed about the programme and developments within your association.

From 09.00 reception with coffee and cake. At 10.00 am the meeting for RZ members. Be sure to bring your partner / guest. During the meeting, partners will view the visual art exhibition and be shown around the castle gardens by a guide, including the 140-year-old English-style landscaped park and the flower garden in 'the baron's court'. At 11.30 a.m., this part of the programme will conclude at the same time as the annual meeting; participation is free of charge for you.

In the second part of the programme, the guided tour of the castle, built in 1350, with explanations by a guide of the originally decorated rooms. Attention will also be paid to a restoration phase of the castle that is then in completion. After the tour, we will walk past the outbuildings and the old coach house to the castle farm where we will conclude the meeting with a joint lunch
