Anti-noise and anti-vibration
The presentation 'anti-noise and anti-vibration' attracted wide interest. Dr Bert Roozen therefore managed to convey the subject with verve, not least through the sound demonstrations he used. More about the content can be found in the announcement here.
Description
Anti-noise and anti-vibration are often seen as all-purpose measures. The solution to all noise and vibration problems in practice... However, practice follows the laws of physics and is therefore much more recalcitrant than is often thought.
In the lecture, the principle of anti-noise and anti-vibration will be explained, with special attention to the physical limitations. In addition, a practical example of an anti-vibration system applied to a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system in a research study will be discussed.
