Description

Neways has been active in Electronic Manufacturing Services since 1969. Starting out as a "loonbestuecker" where the material was supplied by the customer, Neways has grown into a listed company with 16 independent operating companies with high added value.
A company in the Netherlands with only production facilities is very vulnerable and forces strategic choices to be made. Ing. Adrie van Bragt (director NAA) takes us through the company's history and developments in that area.
Through support services such as service and maintenance and re-engineering, the company is able to provide complete life-cycle management of electronic components and systems for its customers.
In addition, it now has production facilities in low-wage countries (Slovakia and China).
However, internal diversification and refinement did not stop there. Ties to the outside, to suppliers and customers, were also forged into tight chains. Timing, quality requirements and their reliability were coordinated in the networks with the very diverse companies into a flow from components to systems.

Speaker(s)

Gijs van Dam, engineering manager, will use a concrete example to show how this is put into practice.

A fascinating presentation will be followed by a tour of the company, during which all the aspects discussed earlier can be reviewed. During this tour, there will be ample opportunity to get answers to all your questions. The meeting will end with drinks where the speakers can once again reflect on the developments within this modern company.
