The Techcafé is the central meeting place for professionals in the high-tech and manufacturing industry. Whether you are an engineer, designer, entrepreneur or student, our Techcafé offers you the chance to network, exchange ideas and learn more about the latest developments in the industry. Each edition focuses on one main theme. Experts share their knowledge during the talk show to inspire and stimulate new ideas and implement them in organisations.

The Techcafé is organised by DSPE, Brainport Industries and Mikrocentrum.

Design for Manufacturability: Balance between complexity and manufacturability

Modern CAD tools offer designers enormous freedom to create complex parts, but this does not always benefit manufacturability. The gap between design and manufacturability has widened in recent years.

Addressing manufacturability means designing with practical manufacturing in mind. In this Techcafé, we discuss how this focus makes parts more robustly manufacturable and how designers can be better equipped with manufacturability knowledge. An inspiring session in which speakers from various technical perspectives will discuss. The professionals below will engage in discussion during this edition:
