This is the Tech Café

The Techcafé is the central meeting place for professionals in the high-tech and manufacturing industry. Whether you are an engineer, designer, entrepreneur or student, our Techcafé offers you the chance to network, exchange ideas and learn more about the latest developments in the industry. Each edition focuses on one main theme. Experts share their knowledge during the talk show to inspire and stimulate new ideas and implement them in organisations.

The Techcafé is organised by DSPE, Brainport Industries and Mikrocentrum.

Theme this edition: Modern design tools versus manufacturability

Today's modern computer tooling enables structural engineers to create, model, optimise and functionally calculate increasingly complex parts and systems. At the same time, the distance between the structural engineer and the workshop seems greater than before, partly due to digitalisation and more complex production chains.

How do we keep our mechanical designers focused on manufacturability and costs, and how does software help them do this. This is the theme of the Techcafe on 11 September and we hope you will come and listen and join the discussion.

During this Techcafe, the experts below will share their insights and experiences:

  • Jan Hein van Ras, Dep. Manager ASML M-dev EUV Precision Motion & Dynamics
  • Jeffrey van Pinxteren, Mechatronic System Designer at MI Partners
  • Jeroen Rondeel, Director Blue Engineering
  • Johan Veldhuis, DfX & Value Engineering Specialist at Prodrive (interim)

Program

  • 15.30 hrs: Walk-in
  • 16.00 hrs: Talk show
  • 17.00 hrs: Networking drinks
Register via Techcafé (11-09 is full)

Theme edition September 30: Autonomous factories

The high-tech manufacturing industry is on the eve of a fundamental transformation: the move towards autonomous factories. But what does this mean for your work, your production process and the skills needed?

At the next Techcafé on 30 September, we will dive into the technologies that make this development possible. Because realising ambitions such as zero defect, zero delay and zero waste requires more than technology alone. It requires smart people as well as smart systems.

During this Techcafé, the following experts share their insights and experiences:

  • Lars de Groot, Demcon
  • Lonneke Stikkelorum, TSG Group
  • Teade Punter, Fontys University of Applied Sciences
  • Ruud Hurkens, KMWE

Will we see you at a next edition?

Whether you are interested in new technologies, more efficient production processes or sustainable solutions, our Techcafé offers a unique opportunity to keep up with the latest trends and developments in the high-tech and manufacturing industry. We therefore cordially invite you to join our next meeting and become part of this inspiring community.
