TESLA the new driving
Description
Please note that the date has been changed to 10 October!!!
At the end of the nineteenth century, it seemed that the electric motor would power the automobile. De Kampioen headlined in the summer of 1898: 'it is foreseeable, that the means of transport of the future will be moved mainly by electric motive power'. On 29 April 1899, Camille Jenatzy became the first human to break the speed barrier of 100 kilometres per hour with his electrically powered rocket car 'Jamais Contente'. This was followed by the century of the internal combustion engine.
But the tide turned. Reluctantly, the first electrically powered city cars came onto the market in the early 21st century and we now see that every manufacturer carries at least one hybrid model. One manufacturer stands out immediately. Not a hybrid but fully electric, no limited range but at least 500 kilometres to go and how! A special car with luxury, sportiness and unprecedented driving comfort
What possessed Elon Musk to launch an entirely new brand for the electric wave in an entirely new industry. Hans Caris of Tesla Motors will review the ideas at its inception and zoom in on the techniques used to create Tesla cars. The electric drive, application of batteries and technical applications throughout the concept. He will further discuss the production of the car. Under which direction this is done, how the assembly line in Tilburg is set up and how the variability in versions is controlled accordingly.
We will also hear Tesla Motors' expectations about the developments of electric driving in the next five to 10 years and the place Tesla itself wants to occupy there. Then it is time to see the models for ourselves with explanations about the car and its use. In conclusion, we can experience for ourselves what it is like to drive along in a Tesla.
