An opportunity to engage with and share expertise on innovative projects

During the TU/e Contest Exhibition, you can find out what the TU/e Contest is all about and explore projects across four themes rooted in the areas of technological leadership set out in the TU/e Institutional Plan 2026–2030: Energy Technologies, Digital Technologies, Health Technologies, and Advanced Materials/Miscellaneous. The posters provide a genuine insight into what the next generation of engineers are curious about and the challenges they are tackling.

Input and feedback from people both within and outside the TU/e community are warmly welcomed. Therefore, during the event, feedback cards will be available, giving you the opportunity to share your thoughts, questions or suggestions with the teams. The cards can be posted in the blue TU/e Contest post boxes and will be passed on directly to the team behind each poster.

Before leaving the exhibition, you are invited to cast your vote for the Best Poster Award (€1,000); the one award in the TU/e Contest 2026 that gives the audience a direct way to make an impact. The winning team will be announced later that evening during the closed TU/e Contest Finalist Selection Event award ceremony.

About the TU/e Contest

The TU/e Contest offers engineering students an annual competition and platform to transform innovative ideas – relating to major societal challenges – into viable concepts that can make a real impact.

Over five months, student teams work on their concepts in collaboration with a diverse network of experts from the worlds of education, business and society. Through an extracurricular programme of workshops, brainstorming sessions and networking events, they develop entrepreneurial skills and prepare to become the engineers of the future.

The TU/e Contest is an initiative of TU/e Innovation Space, supported by the TU/e Knowledge Transfer Office. The 12th edition will take place from February to June 2026. With over 190 registered participants across 69 teams, this edition marks the highest number of participants since the programme began.
