We are guests at Timmerman Heat Exchangers & Piping in Eeklo (Belgium).
Timmerman is a unique company in the Belgian manufacturing industry that focuses mainly on the chemical industry.
The company specialises, on the one hand, in the manufacture and installation of industrial pipelines and, on the other, in the design and construction of various pressure equipment, such as shell/tube heat exchangers, air batteries and air heaters. The company, which employs a good 85 people, has a full engineering department and an extensive assembly team in a 6000m2 workshop.
Timmerman, which was founded about 40 years ago by Pol and Michel Timmerman, concentrated mainly on industrial pipelines at the time. In subsequent years, its activities expanded to include the manufacture of all kinds of heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
Since Timmerman mainly operates in the chemical sector, where safety is a top priority, the company mainly employs Dutch-speaking employees. Their flexibility ensures that customers can count on them during shut-downs and/or when complex projects are involved.
During our visit, a presentation will be given on the company, its products and new developments. And we will get a tour of the two workshops.
