SFP stands for Sustainable Fuel Plant.

This plant was commissioned in 2019 and converts waste streams from the agricultural and food industries, which are no longer suitable for human or animal use, into biogas through fermentation. The biogas is then cleaned and upgraded to green gas. This green gas can then be used for various purposes such as connection to the natural gas grid for industry or consumers. Eight employees work at this location.

Specifications in brief:

  • 40 million m3 biomethane per year (green gas for 25,000 households)
  • Composting
  • Water treatment
