In his lecture, Johan de Feijter will address the question "how do we keep Zeeuws-Vlaanderen healthcare healthy". If we do not change anything, we will be about 2,500 care workers short in 2030 in addition to a 42% growth in the number of over-75s in 2040. In the Netherlands, care has been professionalised too far. How do we together keep care accessible and affordable in order to safeguard the quality of life in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen?

Gert Jan Vlaander will tell us how the Vlaander Group originated and take us through the various parts of his (construction) company. The focus will, of course, be on Prefab, which prepares complete annexes in the workshop on site, which can then be placed on the client's site in just one day. Ideal as care home extensions, home extensions or recreational accommodation.

Johan de Feijter and Gert Jan Vlaander are both enthusiastic members of TechIntrest. TechIntrest is an association of people interested in technology in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, whose aim is to interest and enthuse people (especially young people) for (work in) technology. Among other things, they contribute to the Techniek Experience Days for the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen VO schools and, where possible, supervise students and teachers in technical education.
