Eastern Scheldt and the Eastern Scheldt lobster
Description
Eastern Scheldt lobster is the emperor of all lobsters, say Zeeland Fishermen. The critters owe their fine taste to their isolated, unique habitat.
Eastern Scheldt lobsters have DNA that differs from other European lobsters. Due to its isolated location, the environment in the Eastern Scheldt differs from that of the surrounding sea areas. This has an effect on the plant and animal world and therefore also on the food of the Eastern Scheldt lobster. That is why it has a fine salty taste with a slightly sweeter aftertaste.
During this excursion, you will have the chance to get to know the beautiful Eastern Scheldt, the habitat of the Eastern Scheldt lobster, from an authentic flat-bottomed boat (sailing boat).
At restaurant 'de Heerenkeet', you will then be offered a Lobster Menu. To overcome any trepidation, you will first be given a short lesson in etiquette on "how to eat an Eastern Scheldt lobster".
