Description

For the third time, KIVI Students Twente is organising the Engineering Student of the Year Election. Students compete against each other in a spirited technical IQ quiz, they have to solve a challenging case and also present that solution convincingly in front of a wide audience and critical jury. The main prize consists of €750 and a public prize will also be awarded.

This year, the election and case are entirely dedicated to sustainable energy. Diederik Samsom, PvdA party leader, nuclear physicist and ex-Greenpeace contributor, explains why research into renewable energy sources is so important. The Studium Generale lecture cycle New Energy (see 17, 24 and 31 March) is intended to provide inspiration for the sustainability case.
