An air bus for everyone?
Description
Democratising air transport
Flying is becoming more commonplace, but an air journey remains quite an undertaking compared to a trip by car, train or bus.
Why is that, really?
And can it be done differently?
New technologies are enabling aircraft that could one day replace trains, buses and even cars. Walk to the street corner, board the plane and take off. No pilot's licence is needed.
Hans Heerkens of the Faculty of Management & Governance talks about this in a current affairs lecture on Monday 14 April
