Kiki and Vince are the mascots of KIVI Engineering Society, and you'll be seeing more of them in the months ahead. One of them is never far from wherever something's being built, while the other always knows how to get someone excited about a new idea. Together, they show just how versatile the engineering profession really is. Curious who they are and what drives them? Check out their passport below.
Kiki's Passport
Kiki, ir. at KIVI Engineering Society, is just as comfortable at the drawing board as she is on the building site. She graduated from university, but feels right at home among the people doing the real hands-on work. With a sketchbook under her arm and a head full of ideas, she always seems to come up with a new, sustainable solution. Her mission? To get you just as excited about engineering as she is and secretly, she's hoping to convince you that the university route is the most fun one.
Vince's Passport
Vince, ing. at KIVI Engineering Society, is never far from a construction site. He earned his degree at a university of applied sciences and learned the trade hands-on, by doing. For Vince, what matters most is whether something works and how simply you can explain it to everyone around you. His secret mission is to make engineering cool, and he won't rest until he understands exactly how something fits together. Secretly, he's convinced you only really learn the trade on the job.
A Friendly Rivalry
Kiki and Vince share the same passion for engineering, but they each took their own path: Vince through a university of applied sciences (ing.), Kiki through university (ir.). Which of the two is the "real" engineer? They've been disagreeing about that for years and that's fine, because at KIVI there's a place for every engineer, whichever path you've taken.
