With her choice of studies, Princess Princess Ariane is taking a clear step towards engineering. After the summer, she will start Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology. The fact that she consciously chose this field underlines how engineering is also gaining appeal among younger generations.
Within the engineering community and KIVI too, we consider this a great development and warmly congratulate Princess Ariane on her admission! Technical education forms the basis for the engineers who will soon be working on solutions for energy, mobility and safety. Moreover, it is extra special that her niece, Countess Zaria, is also studying at TU Delft. This became known when she attended the presentation of the Prince Friso Engineering Award last March.
The fact that both are focusing on a technical study shows that engineering is also attracting strong interest among younger generations and contributes to the visibility of the profession.
