Vacancy General Member of the Executive Board
KIVI is looking for a new member of its Executive Board: an experienced engineer with a passion for the profession and, ideally, a keen eye for marketing, communication and brand promotion.

In the coming years, the association aims to grow and attract younger members, with a focus on connecting with research, education and society.
The Role: General Board Member
As a member of the Executive Board, you will share responsibility for setting the association’s strategic direction in the medium and long term. You will serve on a collegial board of nine members that fosters the functioning and dynamism of KIVI.
For this specific position, we are looking for a general board member who is versatile but who, amongst other things, has a particular focus on the Marketing and Visibility portfolio. In this role, you will be the strategic driving force behind raising KIVI’s profile and attracting a new generation of engineers. This is a major challenge, to which the entire board contributes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- You will contribute to the agency’s strategic plans and help translate these into concrete actions.
- You will initiate and advise on marketing strategies to raise the profile of the engineering profession and KIVI in the market.
- You are able to bring people and groups together and are a source of inspiration for engineers both within and outside the association.
- You ensure an open, transparent and safe board environment.
Profile
You are an engineer of integrity and authenticity with extensive experience in the engineering sector. In addition, you possess:
- An affinity for marketing and communication strategy: You are interested in raising the profile of organisations and know how to convey the relevance of KIVI to various target groups.
- Ability to build connections: You are a team player with a well-developed network within the sector and wider society.
- Commitment: You have been a member of KIVI for at least one year and are passionate about the association.
Practical Information
- Time commitment: On average, approximately 8 hours per week.
- Remuneration: The role is unpaid; reimbursement is provided for actual expenses incurred.
