Engineer of the Year 2014

At the Conference Centre 'The Strip' at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, Karianne was named Engineer of the Year 2014 during the Day of the Engineer. Karianne Lindenhovius (42) works as innovation manager at Pontes Medical in the UMC Utrecht. She connects healthcare professionals with companies. Under her watch, new technological products are developed, validated and brought to market. She believes in a commercial approach so that as many patients as possible can benefit from innovations. The VascuLuminator, a device that makes veins visible to prevent mispunctures, is a good example.
