4TU.Federation

Joining forces for engineering excellence

KIVI has recently started a collaboration with the 4TU.Federation to further strengthen the EngD programmes in the Netherlands. This partnership aims to support the next generation of engineers and technological designers by connecting students, industry, and research institutions.

Through this collaboration, KIVI and 4TU.Federation will work together to enhance learning opportunities, promote innovation, and ensure that EngD graduates are well-prepared for high-level positions in industry.

KIVI EngD Award

KIVI and the 4TU.Federation have launched of the KIVI EngD Award, celebrating the achievements of EngD graduates. This new annual prize recognises the outstanding achievements of 4TU.SAI EngD graduates who combine scientific rigour with real-world impact and excel in applying advanced engineering knowledge to solve complex industrial and societal challenges.

The award honours individual achievements and raises awareness of the EngD programme’s unique contribution to the Dutch innovation ecosystem. The EngD programme provides a distinctive link between research and industry, strengthening the country’s innovation capacity.

About 4TU

The 4TU.Federation is the cooperative association of the four Technical Universities in the Netherlands: TU Eindhoven, TU Delft, University of Twente and Wageningen University & Research. For the EngD programmes they also collaborate with the University of Groningen.

The technical universities aim to ensure a sufficient number of well-trained engineers and technological designers, internationally leading and socially relevant research, and to promote cooperation between research institutes, companies and public organisations. The federation therefore works to strengthen and combine technological knowledge.
