Emotional Intelligence Meets Analytical Thinking
Where emotional intelligence and analytical thinking come together
As engineers and analytical professionals, we are trained to work with precision, logic and facts. Systems, processes and solutions take centre stage, and emotions rarely seem to play a part in that world.
But no matter how technical our working environment becomes, we remain human beings. And we do not act solely on the basis of reason. Emotions also play a part in our behaviour, whether we are aware of it or not. This is precisely where Emotional Intelligence (EI) comes into play.
In this webinar, we will be looking at:
- Why emotional intelligence is just as important as technical expertise
- Why collaboration and leadership problems are often caused by an invisible bottleneck, located somewhere other than where we initially try to optimise
- How to recognise conflicts earlier and resolve them constructively
- What practical tools can help you remain stable and effective under pressure
- Why teams perform better when there is room for both logic and empathy
- We examine how thoughts, emotions and behaviour influence one another, and why it is important to intervene at the right point in that chain. The conclusion: emotional intelligence does not make us any less rational, but rather more effective in communication, collaboration and leadership.
