Tata Steel is a steel company that is digitising. This is not only fun, it is pure necessity. Their customers expect this from and their competitors are pushing full steam ahead. H2GreenSteel, for example, presents itself as a digital company that 'happens' to sell steel. Digitalisation is number one with them, steelmaking number two. This is not yet the case at Tata Steel for good reasons, but it gives food for thought. Tata Steel has customers developing self-driving cars, logical that they demand that Tata Steel develops along with them. And there will be a new generation of employees who do everything digitally at home and expect the steel company to digitise more and more. In short: the competitors are doing it, the customers want it and the new employees expect nothing less. Using a number of examples, Carlet Hoes, programme manager data-driven steel, will give an overview of the various projects and the position of "Data Driven Steel"
